When Your Milk Supply Feels Complicated, You Need a Plan That Isn’t

You thought your body was supposed to make milk - and it isn’t doing what you expected. If you’re tired of guessing and ready for support from someone who knows milk supply, you’re in the right spot.

Work 1:1 with Katie Clark, IBCLC, trusted by thousands of moms for milk supply and pumping support.

Why moms come to me after trying everything:

  • Pumping more didn’t work

  • Supplements didn’t work

  • Schedules didn’t work

  • Generic advice didn’t fit their situation

  • No one looked at the full picture

You probably feel like you wrote this

You’ve tried all the hacks you saw on TikTok and Instagram.
You’ve pumped more.
Changed your routine.
You’ve spent an embarrassing amount of money on cookies and lactation drinks.

And yet, you somehow ended up on this page because you’re still asking yourself, “Why isn’t this working? Why can’t I just feed my baby without stressing every second?”

Most moms I work with are already trying really hard…

They’ve just been given advice that doesn’t apply to their situation.

What can happen when you have a plan based on what YOU need:

This mom had been stuck. Trying everything she thought she could. Pumping up the wazoo. Doing everything she could to increase supply.

And then suddenly, after one session where we really looked at what was going on -

Her supply increased with LESS pumping. She stopped guessing, got help, and saw real results.

When we work together, I’m not giving you more generic advice.

I’m looking at:

  • how your body is responding

  • what your baby is doing

  • what your current routine is actually doing to your supply

  • How your hormones, stress, and lifestyle are playing into everything

And then we create a plan based on you. Not what works for someone else.

Every mom is different - and not every person can create a full supply of milk. My goal is to help you figure out how to maximize your body’s full potential so you can finally feed with confidence.

The Breastfeeding Mama sitting on chair waiting for in-person breastfeeding support client

Hi, I’m Katie

IBCLC, mom of four, and founder of The Breastfeeding Mama. Milk Supply and Pumping Expert.

I became an IBCLC after facing my own significant struggles with breastfeeding and realizing how much better things could’ve been with the right kind of support. I’ve worked with thousands of families by providing online resources, groups, courses, and consults to help make feeding feel less overwhelming and more empowering.

I specialize in milk supply, pumping, prenatal prep, and holistic approaches to oral function, and, more importantly, in meeting you exactly where you are, with care that’s realistic, compassionate, and rooted in both science and lived experience.

I am a lifelong learner, constantly taking classes, learning new methods, and advocating for my clients to get the answers they deserve.

You’ll never be pressured to feed a certain way, you’ll always leave with a clear plan that feels doable, supportive, and tailored to you, and you will always have someone to turn to with your questions (even in the middle of the night). You are more than just a client when you walk into my office.

This work means everything to me, and I’m here to make sure you feel heard, equipped, and confident every step of the way. There is no greater privilege for me than working with you during this time.

I primarily do office visits in Littleton and virtual visits. I am only available for home visits with one of my package offerings.

Meet the Founder

Ready for answers, clarity, and a plan that finally makes sense?

Your journey to a smoother and more peaceful breastfeeding journey starts here. While we can never make any promises or guarantees about your supply, I can promise my team will do everything we can to help you find answers.

Our Approach

Personalized Care Rooted in Compassion and Clarity

When you work with me, you’re not just another client on a schedule.

  • I’m an IBCLC with years of experience helping thousands of families navigate complex situations.

  • I don’t skim or give generic advice - I dig deeper to find the root cause of challenges.

  • I specialize in milk supply, pumping, and prenatal,  the areas most parents struggle with (and where many consultants stop short).

  • I offer continuity of care, not one-off “quick fixes.”

  • I have trained my team to provide the same level of care!

This is not run-of-the-mill lactation care.
This is complete care - expert guidance, personalized to you, over time.

  • A regular consult gives you support in the moment. The Milk Supply support pathways give you ongoing care, follow-up, and accountability over weeks or months. You’ll get multiple consults, unlimited messaging, digital resources, and extras like welcome packages, toolkits, or lab credits depending on your pathway.

  • These programs are designed to work with both self-pay clients and cover the consult portion of insurance pay.

Please reach out to find out what portion of a package or visit may be covered by insurance.

  • Companion clients can book additional visits at a discounted rate. This way you can extend your care without losing continuity.

  • Sometimes, in-person visits are the best choice — especially for oral function assessments, complex latch cases, or weight gain concerns. If that becomes necessary, I’ll be honest with you and help you find the right in-person support (with me or a trusted provider in your area).

  • You’ll receive a welcome email with:

    • Links to schedule your first consult

    • Access to your digital resources

Information about your welcome package or lab credit (if included)
From there, we’ll map out your sessions together so you feel supported from start to finish.

  • That’s okay! If you’re still deciding, reach out and I’ll help you figure out which option best fits your current stage with a discovery call- prenatal prep, pumping support, or milk supply care. You don’t have to choose alone.

  • We live in a world of arm chair experts, I get it. Not only am an IBCLC (the highest credential for lactation support available), I’ve invested thousands and dollars and hundreds of hours into honing my education and skills in regards to milk supply.

My passion for helping moms who struggle with supply has driven me to become an expert in this space, and I have worked with countless moms who were desperate when they finally found me. I’m not perfect and never claim to solve every milk supply, but I keep digging with you to find answers you feel good about.
