Hi! I’m Julia,
an IBCLC, registered dietitian, and former NICU team member turned private practice lactation consultant.
My work is rooted in empathy, evidence, and a deep belief that feeding your baby should feel empowering—not confusing, isolating, or pressure-filled.
I first felt the pull toward lactation care while working in the NICU. Watching parents fight for every opportunity to care for their baby—especially through breastfeeding—stirred something in me. That early window into the intensity of new parenthood lit a fire: I wanted to help moms feel supported and successful, no matter where or how they were feeding.
Since then, I’ve worked for over four years in hospital lactation departments across Denver, earned my master’s in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, and became a fully certified IBCLC in 2024. These days, I work with families throughout Colorado, offering compassionate, personalized support for everything from bottle refusal and tongue ties to exclusive pumping and transitioning back to work.
My approach is rooted in flexibility, evidence, and partnership.
I know that every feeding journey is different—there’s no one-size-fits-all answer here. Whether you’re exclusively breastfeeding, combo feeding, pumping, or exploring new options, I’ll help you build a plan that works for your body, your baby, and your life.
Some of my special areas of focus include:
Oral restrictions (tongue/lip ties)
Pumping routines + flange fitting
Bottle refusal and bottle preference
Returning to work and feeding transitions
Nutrition and gentle weaning support
I’ve helped families reconnect with breastfeeding after months of exclusive pumping, reintroduce nursing after NICU stays, and create healing feeding experiences after difficult starts.

One of the most powerful stories I’ve witnessed was helping a second-time mom rewrite her breastfeeding story after trauma and loss. Supporting her through that journey reminded me exactly why I do this work.
Outside of the lactation world, I’m based in Aurora, Colorado, and love pouring energy into my community—especially local school gardens and food equity projects.
I’m an avid camper, Moab enthusiast, and farmers' market regular. My perfect day includes bao buns, a good playlist, and paddleboarding under the sun.
A few fun facts:
I have a not-so-secret dislike for chocolate (gasp—I know!)
My family has a yearly tradition of bonfires and stargazing at Lake Powell
I believe dumplings are a love language
When you work with me, you can expect calm, clear, and compassionate care. I’ll listen closely, guide without pressure, and cheer you on as you move forward. Your goals are my priority—and I’ll meet you exactly where you are.
