Hi! I’m Attie!

IBCLC, prenatal & pediatric chiropractor, and mom who’s lived the ups and downs of breastfeeding.

My path into lactation was born out of frustration - both my own and what I witnessed in my patients. Even with knowledge and resources, I felt like I wouldn’t make it through the first week of breastfeeding with my daughter. Then I started hearing similar stories from my postpartum patients: moms desperate for support but getting advice that was complicated, outdated, or simply exhausting. That frustration quickly turned into a calling: I wanted to change what lactation support looks like for families.

I’ve been a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist for a year and a half, became an IBCLC in July, and have been practicing as a prenatal and pediatric chiropractor for three years. I love weaving those two worlds together, because bodywork and breastfeeding are so deeply connected.

What it’s like to work with me:

I’m not here to push a single “right way” to feed your baby. Instead, I want to help you cut through the noise, get back to the basics, and find a rhythm that feels sustainable. My style is relatable and relaxed—I’ll look you in the eyes, tell you it’s going to be okay, and help you breathe again. Whether your goal is exclusive breastfeeding, combo feeding, or simply making feeding less stressful, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Some of my most rewarding moments come when parents go from feeling overwhelmed and ready to give up to nursing with confidence. Like the mom who came to me at four weeks, bottle feeding exclusively—within two weeks, her baby was nursing at the breast and went on to breastfeed for over a year. Those transformations remind me why I do this work.

Attie is available in the Summerville, SC area for in-person visits. Home visits are available within 5 miles of 29486, and her office is available in Summerville for all. Virtual visits are also available. Cigna, UHC, Aetna, and Multiplan plans are available for insurance-pay clients.

Everything is going to be just fine. Those early days are hard, but you will find your rhythm - and I’ll be here to support you as you do.

I live in Summerville, South Carolina, and love how family-friendly and welcoming this community is. I share life with my husband, our two daughters, and our loyal black lab mix who’s been with me since chiropractic school. I’m happiest outdoors - traveling, doing pilates, or diving into any body of water I can find.

Fun fact: Before this chapter of life, I used to lead whitewater canoe trips in Northern Ontario. Those adventures shaped so much of who I am today and gave me a deep appreciation for resilience, challenge, and connection.
