EUFY S1 PRO BREAST PUMP REVIEW + TUTORIAL: Thoughts from an IBCLC
My Honest Take as an IBCLC
Hi friend! I’m Katie, and if you’re overwhelmed trying to find the perfect wearable pump, you’re not alone. With so many options out there, it’s hard to know what’s worth the investment—and what’s just hype.
That’s why I’m excited to share my honest thoughts on the EUFY S1 Pro wearable pump. I’ve had the chance to try it out, hear feedback from clients, and really dig into how it performs. Spoiler: I’ve been pleasantly surprised.

First Impressions: Is It Worth the Hype?
When the EUFY S1 Pro launched in 2024, I’ll admit—I was skeptical. It was everywhere, and the marketing push from influencers and even fellow lactation consultants had me thinking, “This will either be amazing... or a major flop.”
But after using it myself and hearing from clients, I’ve been really impressed.
A Quick Note About Wearables
Before we go too far—wearable pumps are generally less effective than traditional ones like the Spectra or Baby Buddha. If you’re exclusively pumping or struggling with low supply, I wouldn’t recommend relying on any wearable as your primary pump.
But for those with an established or oversupply, or those looking for a convenient secondary option? Wearables can be a game-changer.
EUFY S1 vs. S1 Pro: What’s the Difference?
There are two models:
S1 Pro (comes with a charging case)
S1 (without the charging case)
The Pro’s charging case is sleek—you charge the case itself, and it recharges your pumps on the go. It’s handy for moms without regular access to outlets, but it’s about $110 more. For most, the regular S1 is probably plenty.
Features That Stand Out
Vacuum Power
They claim 300+ mmHg of suction power—and while I haven’t measured it myself, the suction feels stronger than many other wearables I’ve tried.
HeatFlow™ Technology
The S1 Pro has optional heating built in. Most moms I’ve worked with say the warmth is subtle—some don’t feel it much, while others love it. I’m a big fan of warmth for milk flow, so I think it’s a nice extra.
App Control
This is one of my favorite parts! The app lets you:
Control the pump (no fiddling with buttons)
Track output
Customize rhythms and suction levels
There are four preset rhythms:
Max Rhythm (my pick!)
Standard Rhythm (long 28-min expression—not my fave)
Gentle Rhythm (for sensitive nipples)
Natural Rhythm (to mimic baby’s nursing pattern)
The app is user-friendly and makes the experience more hands-free, which is perfect when life is busy.
Manual Controls: Not My Favorite
Honestly, I don’t love the on-pump panel. It’s a little clunky:
You press the power button once to turn it on
Press again to start pumping
Use the bottom button to switch modes (letdown vs. expression)
Adjust suction and heat from the other buttons
It’s not terrible, but the app is way easier. Pro tip: use the app when you can.
Comfort & Flange Fit
The flange is firm, high-quality silicone—more effective than super soft silicone ones. It comes with inserts (21, 19, and 17 mm), and it’s compatible with other inserts you can grab online. It only includes a 24 mm flange shell, so if that’s not your size, you’ll definitely want those inserts.
It’s slimmer than some pumps (like the original MomCozy) but not the slimmest on the market.
Noise & Build Quality
It’s not silent (very few effective pumps are), but it’s quiet. I turned it on while talking in my video, and you could barely hear it. Definitely discreet enough for work or errands.
And it feels sturdy! The quality is noticeably better than some other wearables I’ve tested—clients haven’t reported the breakdown issues I’ve seen with other brands.
Real Mom Feedback
One of my clients, who had a preemie in the NICU, started using the S1 Pro after feeling burnt out by her Spectra. She said it wasn’t quite as effective, but it gave her the freedom and mental break she desperately needed.
She loved the app and heat feature, but found it a little tricky to assemble—especially when sleep-deprived. Putting the parts together is kind of like snapping on Tupperware. Not a dealbreaker, just a little finicky.
Cleaning & Parts
There are five pieces to clean:
Flange
Electronic motor (don’t submerge)
Pink funnel piece
Duckbill valve
Container
About average for a pump, but keep in mind the setup time if you're pumping often.
Output & Visibility
It holds up to 5 oz (150 mL) and rarely leaks. Bonus: you can actually see the milk flowing through the clear funnel—so helpful compared to some pumps where you’re guessing.
When you're done, just remove the top cap and pour into your storage bottle or bag.
Final Thoughts
I genuinely feel good recommending the EUFY S1 Pro as a high-quality wearable pump. It won’t replace a double electric pump for most people, but it’s amazing for:
Pumping at work
On-the-go sessions
“I really don’t want to pump but I have to” moments
It’s thoughtfully designed, well-built, and backed by a solid warranty.
